A Q&A with a professional in your field

A question that I hear often is “what made you start playing football and what does it take to get to the next level?

I got introduced into football when I was about 5 years old. At the time I was living in Youkuska, Japan. Both of my parents were in the Navy so I always moved around. I use to watch my Uncle play in football games on base against other people. From there on I fell in love with the sport and I have been playing football since kindergarten. I look at football as my stress reliever. Anytime I had a bad day or I just needed to let my anger out I knew that I could do it on the football field without ever having a problem. To get to the next level you have to stand out the most out of everyone. One quote that I feels like relate to me so much is “whatever you do in the dark will come to light”. It relates to me because I feel like all of the hard work that you put in will come to light eventually, and the work that you don’t put in will also show. To get to the next level you have to work harder than everyone else, be more determined, and be able to sacrifice everything to reach your goal.
